This 1990 Lamborghini LM002 is an SUV that was built by the Lamborghini automobile company between 1986 and 1993. LM002 was an unusual departure for Lamborghini, at the time, mainly known for high-performance grand tourers and sports cars.

It’s believed just five or six Lamborghini LM002 are in the UK, but none are as special as this model, which has covered just 27,000 miles. Powered by a 5.2-litre V12 engine from the Lamborghini Countach supercar, the 1990 Lamborghini LM002 produces 444bhp and has a top speed of 130mph – with power channelled to all four-wheels through a manual gearbox. Built between 1986 and 1992, the Lamborghini LM002 was initially designed as a military vehicle.
The original Cheetah prototype had a rear-mounted Chrysler V8 engine. Prototype destroyed during testing by the U.S. military. This led to develop Lamborghini Lamborghini LM001, which is very similar to the Cheetah, but has a AMC V8 engine. It was finally determined that the engine is mounted in the rear caused too many unfavorable handling characteristics in offroad vehicles, and LMA002 built with an entirely new chassis, moving the engine (now the V12 out of the Countach) to the front. After much testing and changing the prototype, finally given a serial number and be the first 1990 Lamborghini LM002.
Lovingly nicknamed “Rambo-Lambo”, aggressive style and powerful engine make it a success for Lamborghini. Civilian model comes with a full luxury package, including full leather trim, power windows colored, air-conditioning, and premium stereo mounted in the roof console. In order to meet the needs of vehicle tires, Lamborghini commissioned Pirelli to make two custom, run-flat, tread designs.
Unfortunately, running out of money before they can be officially entered in the competition, although it did not participate in the Rallye des Pharaons in Egypt and others in Greece, both driven by Sandro Munari. Towards the end of production of the Lamborghini LM002, the owner of the Turin-based autoshop create one-off “Real” version by enclosing the back area and increase the roof. This adds significantly to the room interior 1990 Lamborghini LM002.
